We needed to get back in a rhythm on offense and defense. Most importantly, we needed to fix our defense, and I think we really did a great job.

Like Coach [Anderson] says, everyday we're going to work on defense. That's all we've been working on, because that's what is going to win us games. We've just got to stick to playing with defense, and I think everything will fall into place.

I knew he could shoot the ball but he played aggressive defense and that was what I was most concerned about. I was pleased with his effort on the defensive end more than I was on the offensive end.

We just didn't ever get started and it started with defense. I didn't think we played a real aggressive defensive game tonight. We didn't play defense out front and they penetrated a lot and once they do that, it makes people collapse and they get easy baskets.

That was big, but then you've got to get back and play defense, and that's what we didn't do. I had that feeling that (Richmond) would hit some threes.

Our defense played great. To shut them out for a half was a great accomplishment.
