We needed to create some energy at that point. We knew we had half of the game left. We had to find a way to get the job done, and I think the players responded.

Being in this position is something we haven't been in.

Our forwards were able to control the puck down low. The effort was certainly there tonight.

You always worry about coming off a long break. We knew the first goal was going to be big.

This win was big for a lot of reasons. I told the guys that you will only have one opportunity to play on 'Derek Hines Night'. Now we can all look back fondly on this game and know that we came away with a 'W'.

I'd have to say that the team defense, starting with Brad (Roberts) in goal, has put us in a position to win each game. I also think that we are starting to reap the rewards of scheduling some tough teams at the beginning of the year.
