We need to put a wholly Iraqi face on this election.

Obviously, a successful Palestinian election and what seems to be a successful Iraqi election can only assure people that this is a process that the Middle East needs, and one that needs to be taken seriously,

Last month, the Iraqi people went to the polls, voting in their first free election in more than 50 years.

It is important that the Iraqi people have confidence in the election results and that the voting process, including the process for vote counting, is free and fair.

If there are civilians who are dying, it is (Iraqi President) Saddam Hussein's fault.
