We need to find athletes who are determined to play as a team and have positive attitudes. Hopefully these guys can see what we're trying to do.

It should be a spectacle. Both teams have plenty to play for and are positive in their approach.

Title IX has definitely provided more opportunities for female athletes. It is definitely a positive thing for women's sports, both in what it offers women and in its funding. I don't feel that the survey is an accurate way to gauge interest, especially when people who don't respond get counted as people who aren't interested in a particular sport.

These athletes are determined. And they play to win. Our soccer team can win this thing. They show anyone what perseverance can be. They don't quit. Ever.

Our program is attuned in such a way that we intentionally want to provide positive male role models for the boys due to the lack of father figures in their lives. Most of the boys in our program are brought up single-handedly by their mothers or, in some cases, their grandmothers. Usually it's the mom who signs the child up to the program, because they want our male leaders to be around for their child.

They've obviously been great for our program. They're not only great athletes, but they raise everybody else's level of play. They're also great kids.
