We need the white business community at the table.

I apologize to the Gainesville community, the University of Florida, everyone who cares deeply about me and everyone who has respect for me.

If you're talking about building a city, you've got to create a place for everybody. This city doesn't just belong to rich white folk, and it doesn't belong to poor black folk.

I think some people don't understand that an equal number of black and white isn't the same as equity. But I tell you what, I give them credit, at least it's 50-50.

I would propose that we have gone through all the efforts that you as a community have set up for neighborhoods to express their needs. We would like you to respect the fact that we have gone through this procedure correctly.
