We may have a strong economy today, but our prosperity and economic leadership will not last unless we respond boldly to a series of competitive challenges created by these realities.

Bonds will find it hard to rise today. The fundamental trend that the economy is recovering has not changed.

The economy is a huge issue. Peace and prosperity. That is why the president will offer -- even before the Congress comes back likely -- a growth package for investors and consumers and the market.

Nothing we do today is in a vacuum. Your objectives might change. The economy will change. The tax laws will change. At minimum, you should look at everything in a comprehensive manner on an annual basis.

No jovial hand shaker would get far without helping the local economy. Make no mistake, jobs and economic prosperity are the main issues here.
