We live from day to day and get as much joy out of experiencing as we can.

I used to panic and get rattled when I was young, but as I've got older, I've started literally to live day to day. With age, you work out what matters.

But it was better to know of it than to see it in its daily monotony.

Nothing makes my day more than when someone comes up to me and says I bring them joy. That's why I do it, to make people laugh their butts off and forget about their problems.

Just once I wanted a task that required all the joy I had. Day after day I had noticed that if I waited long enough, my strong unexpressed joy would dwindle and dissipate inside me, like a fire subsiding . . . . Just this once I wanted to let it rip.

We got to bring a little bit of joy to their day. Maybe even make their day. It is only so often that you get to do that.
