We knew there was going to be a chance that he may be released. Coach Sherman coached him up there and knew him very well. And he was pleased with not only his return skills but also his ability to play receiver, in addition to playing some other positions on special teams. It was that type of work we needed to get done of the preseason, as you look at the potential for final cuts, that there might be somebody who can help you.

It's all about giving yourself a chance to win the opener, and then after that, you focus in on Week 2.

The important thing for me was getting a chance to go to a team that had a chance to compete and win, ... Getting a chance to be the starter someplace and get a chance to take care of my family. So I was able to do all three of those things and come home.

I think it's that we got a chance to practice a few days, give ourselves a chance to focus on how we want to get our shots and where we want them to come from. I think we're doing a better job of slowing down offensively when we don't have anything initially in transition and calling our sets and getting to the spots we want to get to. At least for the most part we're not forcing Baron or Jason or somebody to make a play against the shot clock every time.
