We knew Matt was a talent when he came into the program and that it was only a matter of time before he'd be making the Grand March.

We weren't surprised by what we got when he was a ninth-grader. We knew he was a talented young man. We just focused on getting him polished, getting him stronger.

He became very explosive. He has a tremendous amount of balance and quickness. He just came in at his natural weight. His quickness has always been his trademark.

He's a real building block for this organization, a major injection of talent into this team, ... He's an exciting player that the fans are going to enjoy watching. He sets the tone for the entire team with the way he plays.

We need to bring in some players to close this talent gap and that's what we intend to do.

He's an amazing talent. He's probably the most explosive back since Marshall Faulk and Barry Sanders.
