We have issues in the Madison Heights area. Some drivers don't understand that because there is no median strip they are expected to stop even though it is a four-lane road.

The bill would have been open to an urban area like Green Bay, but not Madison or Milwaukee. There's no reason it should not have benefited the entire state.

We're not interested in who's producing the Madison Avenue TV ads. We're focused on the issues.

I think it has an attraction: the Mardi Gras, Bourbon Street, the fun area, it's warmer than Madison. But now it's got the attraction of a city in dire need, a physical manifestation of a way we can help out.

But I've only seen maybe one or two companies move sectors of their businesses (out of the Madison area) to find lower pay rates.
