We have already started to evolve from Homo Sapiens (a conscious hominid) into Home Evolutis - a hominid that directly and deliberately controls the evolution of its own and of other species.

We are fundamentally modifying ourselves and our environment. And that is precisely the type of changes that time and again lead to speciation.

A clear view of the future is often obstructed by taking too much for granted. Like: "we are the human species". Really? We've had 29 upgrades, so unless you believe that the purpose of all of this evolution was to create Rush Limbaugh and Howard Sterm and then flatline, you have to ask: Is it possible to have another upgrade?

We will either adapt and adopt or, like so many others, say 99% of all species, we too will go extinct. Or... Perhaps we will be lucky enough to design and build our own future.

To survive, religions, ethical/ moral frameworks, will have to adopt and adapt. Most do not. So over time, most go extinct.
