We have a duty to work now to build a better Ireland. An Ireland that is a warm home for everybody who lives here.

We want to see elections held ... allowing for the institutions to work as we originally envisaged, ... The atmosphere of all of the parties has been to try to achieve that.

There is absolutely no excuse for the disgraceful scenes in Dublin today. It is the essence of Irish democracy and republicanism that people are allowed to express their views freely and in a peaceful manner.
