We had to go through a lot of ice packs at first when the girls were learning to throw and catch. But I'm already seeing end-of-the-year improvement.

We're going through learning pains. At times, we look good, but we had breakdowns where our girls were positioned.

I was proud of my girls for learning as the game went on. We got contributions from everyone, just like we have all season long.

We were working on things. Some of the girls are still learning the game. We needed to use this game to get ready for Edison. They're progressing, that's the main thing. We needed this win to get us going, because neither of us had won (in league).

Both of the girls learn about how the other lives, learning about how the other person is in their shoes. Also the journey they're both going on, even though it appears to be different, is very similar in that they're coming to learn how to be in their own shoes.

We're a young team and there are only 12 girls on the roster. We're learning on the field and off and we're going to make young mistakes.
