We had a lovely Christmas. We turned the back yard into a studio, covered it with tarpaulin, and we made the wolves there.

It's a good straw in the wind for Christmas.

When we started, we didn't even have a script. We felt we could create the story together with the cast. It's been a journey of discovery.

Most of the soap operas always use the Christmas special to kill huge quantities of their characters. So they have trams coming off their rails, or cars slamming into each other or burning buildings. It's a general clean-out.

And so, this Christmas season may our hearts with gladness glow, As we read the blessed story That took place so long ago.

Christmas is, of course, the time to be home - in heart as well as body."
