We got to $1.5 million last year and hopefully we'll have the same feeling this year when we get to two (million).

This is our 36th anniversary at our present location in West Hartford - which we plan to celebrate with a gala dinner honoring State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal on June 25. We plan on being here for a long time, and we will continue to play an important role in the community.

We had a goal of a half-million dollars that second year and as the thing kind of blew up and we realized we were close to a million, it was the seventh or eighth inning and (Red Sox vice president of public affairs) Charles Steinberg called us and said they're donating the last $25,000. The feeling was incredible.

These guys understand this city and understand why it's important to do what we're doing today and that just makes this such a great event.
