What we found was age was a significant predictor in Bt corn adoption. We found as producers get older and gain experience they are more likely to adopt Bt corn rootworm, but once they reach about age 48 they become less likely to adopt the technology.

The convenience group is declining rapidly. In 1998 that group made up 16.8% of our sample. The 3% that was lost by 2003 was about evenly split among the other four groups.
