We executed our game plan in the second half and stood our ground. Tesch played excellent defense which kept us in the game. All around it was a well-played game.

It's not like us. We haven't done that in practice, so I guess you've got to credit their defense ? their speed, their ability to strip you.

The formations force the defense to have to show more and do some things, which kind of give us an alert to say, 'Hey, this may not be there,' ... So you can get through your progression quicker.

Our defense kept us in the ballgame all night long. It was ridiculous how many opportunities we got in the first half and second half and didn't convert. One of our biggest strengths have been defense and I expect it to stay the same this year. We have a team that have been together for a long time. We can rely on our defense to hold even the best teams to low goal totals, but we need to score more, we need to get forward more and get the ball in the net.
