We don't feel at this time that Haiti fulfills the very narrow criteria provided by Congress.

At this time we do not believe that Haiti fulfills the narrow criteria established by Congress to qualify for TPS. We are continuing to monitor the situation on the ground. It's still open.

If you expect Haiti to have any kind of democracy in the future, congress has to play a major role.

The UN is going to stay in Haiti for a long time. It should be much more involved in improving healthcare and education than peacekeeping.

Who do I root for? I have to keep it straight and narrow.
