We do not think we will appeal because, essentially, we won the case. We are extremely pleased and have a court ruling that we can use to enhance our children's opportunities.

All I have ever wanted in the 12-plus years of this litigation is recognition that the children we represent are not provided the opportunity to learn. I now have that court order.

At the end of the day, the General Assembly has to pick an early enough age with an adequate learning environment so when a child enters school that child can learn.

We view the decision as one of absolute vindication of what our clients have been saying for the last 13 years. And it's our sincere hope that the state will embrace the decision instead of continuing to litigate the matter and decide that all children of South Carolina need an education if they (are to) have a chance to be productive citizens.

We offered more than ample evidence in my view of a lack of facilities. We would disagree with that portion of his finding.
