We differ from many designers, in that we both have a love of making furniture. There's no gap between the design, the construction, or the materials, because we not only design the furniture, we are the craftsmen who make it.

You may design something in steel, but to make it, you need to know how to manipulate the material. On a sheer technical end, you have to know how to weld stainless steel.

I've been doing it since I was 14 years old. I was a freshman in high school. I would practice on myself, but I would always screw up and have to shave my head.

I had already found that it was not good to be alone, and so made companionship with what there was around me, sometimes with the universe and sometimes with my own insignificant self; but my books were always my friends, let fail all else.
