We didn't make him jump 42 inches. But, I hope he learned how to do things the right way.

They make every player around them better. What more can you say about a person.

The way he plays makes me happy. But, it's also how he handles himself, how sure he is, how he handles the media, the students, all the pressures of the situation.

Obviously there's a tremendous amount of pride.

I don't think this team gets frustrated. Not that I've noticed.

He not only was my soccer coach, but a mentor for life. He was a friend. I have nothing but best wishes for him. He was always very interested in us doing well outside of soccer. I last played for him 12 years ago and every year he calls me on my birthday. He was just always very supportive of everything in your life. It wasn't all about athletics. I'm a fairly successful guy now and a lot of it is due to him.
