We didn't know what he was going through because none of us had been through it before. What he went through, I don't know. I tried to talk to him each day and see how he was doing. Unless you're in that situation, you can't imagine it. I don't know what I would do, but he comes from a very strong family.

In the first half, our guys panicked a little bit. When we got down seven or eight, they tried to make it all back right away instead of slowly bringing it back. In the second half, we did a lot better job.

It's hard for me, leaving the job I've had here, and leaving the players and staff. But I think this is the right move for me and my family. There's an unbelievable tradition of basketball at Florida Southern.

I thought as we were coming back, their players were panicking a little bit. They were rushing their shots, but they did a good job once we got the lead. They seemed to relax a little bit. Hall and Brooks are good players. Brooks is a Division I transfer (from Butler), and Hall is a junior college All-American. We got back in the game, and they made plays down the stretch.

We just kept taking the ball to the rim and they couldn't stop us. Our bench is great, and that's the only way you can get this far, the only way you can advance. We just got a big lead and held on.

It just boggles my mind. It just seems the band is getting bigger and bigger. It almost feels like it's moving without us, and we have to keep up with it.
