We dealt with his family members and were able to have him turn himself into the police department.

We are not sure if this was a family feud or what. The police are investigating.

Abusers are bullies and they put on quite an act. Sometimes if they know the police or a family member is on to them, they're a little more nervous about being so aggressive.
