We can't even get concrete for sidewalks now.

We had a plow, a wagon and other old things, ... There were concrete sidewalks everywhere because my grandfather, Martin Luther Carter, would pour them. We had a coal furnace and indoor plumbing.

They dumped (the concrete) over the cliff. Most of them seemed secured, but one slid off.

You could start at a path leading nowhere more fantastic than from your own front steps to the sidewalk, and from there you could go… well, anywhere at all.

I blame the government. We're more dependent on foreign oil than we ever were and I blame (President) Bush for that.
