We came up with a sort of '80s Richter scale. We didn't want everyone to scream '80s.

We didn't want to make fun of the '80s. It's such an important part of the play. We wanted to be true to what the '80s looked like. It was actually a very designed time. The look was much more 'done' than it is today.
