We are working with the University of West Alabama to grow a program that will grow your own. Success in other states has been shown when you work with people to encourage them to go into medicine. Then, they come to, if not their rural community, another rural community.

This is a long term project. Producing a doctor takes a long time and you have to get started early.

The football team's success has added a mystique about the university. The fact that they're building a new arena shows great commitment on their part that they want to have national-level success in the basketball program as well.

The win also reflects well on the faculty, department and university. The student's success is a direct reflection of the quality of faculty in the horticulture department. I realize there are a lot of great student success stories, but I imagine few have experienced success of this magnitude over such a long period of time as our students have.

Every great thing that's ever been achieved started with the belief that it could be.

I think the university will do what they think is best for the university. As far as I am concerned, that's how I'm going to leave it,
