We are trying to hold the waters with sandbags, but I don't know for how long we can control the situation.

The dike we are trying to build since this morning has already four rows of sandbags, but still I don't think we can raise it faster than the water is rising.

The situation is very bad. We need to evacuate 1,200 people from Bechet and its surroundings by this evening.

Around 30 families have moved to a neighboring village and we are now going to evacuate some 1,200 people.

Our efforts to reinforce the dikes have failed.
