We are trying to be a church that is community-minded. If it's something that the community wants, we would consider it, if it's something that it doesn't, we won't.

Our first responsibility is to be a church that is open to this community. Anything that would jeopardize that as a whole is something that would not be considered by our congregation.

Pam Morrison (pastor of the First United Methodist Church) has spoken with Dexter and assured him that as a community we want to do whatever we can to help. We will stay on top of this situation and do what we can to help on of Baldwin's own.

The church just mirrors the community, and if we have healthy congregations, we are going to have a healthy community.
