We are going to collect all the material which was produced from '45 onward, everything, every piece of it. No one has done it. We know that the filmed materials ... are very, very important and are becoming more important.

Today, when there are fewer Holocaust survivors alive to share their experiences, the personal touch, the personal contact is important. We understand the importance of those elements in shaping the world, in shaping our minds.

Israeli society has an moral duty to honor the Holocaust survivors, and to take care of them in the twilight of their days.

Hopefully, this new awareness and attention to the Holocaust will lead to a strengthening of those groups currently leading the struggle against anti-Semitism, a rejection of those groups both within Europe but also within the Muslim world who question the extent or even the existence of the Holocaust, and to a strong education of the youth of the world about the horror of genocide and the hate that leads to it.

The Jewish people owe him a great deal, and I believe that humanity in general does too because he dealt in a systematic way, determinedly and unrelentingly, with the prosecution of war criminals, ... a standard for the need to establish some sort of justice and to work for moral values the world cherishes.

The Holocaust is very much alive. The wounds are still there. The scars are still there. The influence is still there.
