We don't want this argument to be obscured by those who would suggest that anyone who is for more and more government power is somehow on the side of the right, and those who are against it or are skeptical of such grants are on the side of the wrong. This is an important question of all Americans on the left, the right or in the middle.

We have procedures. We will follow those procedures. We will operate our snow desk and run our equipment.

It's my experience that most folk who ride trains could care less where they're going. For them it's the journey itself and the people they meet along the way. You see, at every stop this train makes, a little bit of America, a little bit of your country, gets on and says hello.

They would have to obtain a registration from the BAR if they wanted to operate the program like they have it set up in other states. If they wanted to do it differently, and have the consumer involved and have the consumer approve any changes, then that facility would operate pretty much like a drive-up claims center.

Americans want and need passenger train service, ... They've demonstrated that by riding our trains wherever we operate them in large numbers. It is a myth that no one is interested in riding long-distance passenger trains.
