War...is ugly and brutalizing, and the nobility is in doing it without becoming ugly and brutalizing.

I think (the Anti-War Society) has great potential. I think this campus needs more activism in general and I think this is a cause that appeals to a lot of people.

Whatever time I promote outside of the classroom toward activism is my own business. I did oppose the war in Iraq. I would do it again.

During the Vietnam War, every respectable artist in this country was against the war. It was like a laser beam. We were all aimed in the same direction. The power of this weapon turns out to be that of a custard pie dropped from a stepladder six feet high.

I support this war on terror and the war on radical Islam.

The soul of America weeps for the dead youth of this illegal and immoral war. It is time to step up and be heard.
