Walking my dog on the streets of downtown Fayetteville... contemplating, anticipating and daydreaming of what holds in tomorrow's promise... I look up above for some sort of comfort... and just in that moment, a rebellious star transcends a fiery streak in the night sky and that's the moment I know every little thing will be alright.

Some time ago, nature changed the world as I knew it. It left no apologies, no remorse... waves and winds leaving me with nothing to call my own. Or so I thought. Now five years later, I look back and see all what it has given me. Courage, resilience, empowerment... the list goes on and on. Things that no one can ever take away from me. And for that, I am eternally grateful.
