Businesses, small businesses restaurants, service businesses can take a credit off of the minimum wage for the tips that certain employees receive and this is prevalent throughout the US.

The minimum wage was due for an increase, but it was important that we offset its cost to small businesses.

Unions are asking for more, but we are still a long way from excessive demands. The wage restraint continues.
