Virginia has an interesting history. We didn't ratify the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote until 1952 - well after the amendment was ratified at the federal level giving women the right to vote.

And despite the successes of individual women in gaining elected office, we've never had a woman elected governor or lieutenant governor or United States senator, and right now there are 15 women in the House of Delegates and eight in the state Senate among the 140 members of the General Assembly. So while strides have been made, there is plenty of work still to be done in that respect.

We at the center want to get people from all walks of life to be more involved in politics. This series, in particular, we hope will generate more interest among young women in politics. We hope that young women will see that they can be more involved in politics themselves.

We can't seem to get a break on our shots. We're giving great effort and not quitting. We're getting some easy shots. We're just missing them.

When women get too skinny, like Teri Hatcher, it will show on your face and age you. I think women look very strange when they lose a lot of weight and start to look very masculine.

Giving up something personal to the public, you are surrendering something.
