[Vick] was just in rhythm. He threw the ball really well. His fastball was working, and he just threw it past them.

He makes the other pitchers work harder. They want to be part of it.

I didn't think there was a chance to win if we took him off the gate. We were just hoping to get near the front somewhere and get some sort of a good trip.

He's getting real sharp, especially the last two to three weeks. We got to educate him real carefully [last year] Freehold. He's always finished his miles good. The last couple of weeks I was trying to stretch him out.
