Up until 10 years ago, the reason people went to their reunions was to find out what happened to everybody. You can do that without ever having to leave your home or show your gray hair.

The troubles we have come through over the past three or four years are not good for morale. I have had people say 'We are so thankful there is a place we can go to report things like this.' I think the whole climate is changing.

By the time I get done paying all my bills at the end of the month, I'm lucky if I have $10 left. If it wasn't for St. Vincent's, I don't know what we'd do.

If it wasn't for St. Vincent's, we couldn't get any medicine at all.

I think that August reunions are steadily trending downhill because people are busy. We go all the way through to Thanksgiving weekend.

Being in this position is something we haven't been in.
