Unless somebody's economy collapses, meaning the U.S. or China, I don't see demand dropping that much.

Food stocks are viewed as 'classically defensive,' meaning that the earnings hold up well across a dip in the economy, across a recession.

The bonus system seems to be a lot more prevalent in the industry these days, rather than giving a raise.

We had a bit more hiring this time around during the holiday, meaning things were pretty good in the economy. So the seasonal reduction is a little more than normal. A lot of the holiday hiring ends in January and it pretty much finishes up in February.

I would sign up for the view that industrial, 'old economy' stocks could well be the next to move higher. But I don't see a definitive move until we see some of the economic data in July.

If you believe in this economy, in the long run, it'll end up higher than before. I just wish it would happen quicker. I'm over here to decide where to put the new money.
