Unfortunately, you're here at a very sad time in our history,

There might be cities that want to do it but ... I don't think we'd give up our name for a corporate offer, ... I do think they get points for creative marketing.

I think I'm safe in saying that we're very proud of our name and heritage as the oldest incorporated city in California,

It is something we would certainly look at, ... I want to have a central library that's really a vibrant part of our downtown. Especially as more residents move there, they will want to have access to the library downtown.

People are currently focused on disaster and flood preparation, ... They are focused in a way that I think we need to use to help them be prepared.

History isn't all fact--it's just the story the victors tell to keep themselves in power. And it's been a slow revision. The more time passes, the easier it becomes to reinvent the past.
