Unfortunately, the winter has not been that bad until last weekend. There's not as much cabin fever as we expected. It has not been an old gloomy, ugly, cold winter.

We've been spending a rather frantic weekend looking for them because it's not that far across the Torres Strait.

We didn't know that until yesterday. Last year ours was the week after, but this year it's the same weekend and we didn't realize that until just the other day.

It's a little disappointing, and you hate it for the seniors. But we competed hard this weekend. Things just didn't bounce our way. We were in every game, but they (TSU) are a very tough team to beat.

This is one of our best fundraisers. We usually have 40 to 80 people.

Some of the people who bought tickets told us to keep the money.
