Two of our goals were to go undefeated at home and win the Corn Belt. It feels good to finally have those goals become reality.

It was a lot of fun out there. The entire team played great and everyone was doing their job, which made it easy for me.

We defended Roeder very well. We held him to no field goals in the second half. But we put them on the line too much.

We had our chances and at the end, we got some goals. Marietta attacked well, and we gave Marietta too many chances. But we hung in there and scored when we needed to.

We realize we're a long ways from achieving the goals we want this season. It's always good to start with a win, but we've got a lot of other things to accomplish this year. The first one is nice, but the last one is the one everybody remembers.

We've been waiting for this all year. It was one of our goals entering the season, to perform well at districts. Now we have one more day and then we look forward to states.
