[Tuesday's win] gives us so much confidence. We were 7-1 before, and now we're 1-0 to begin league, and we had to beat a very good Golden West team to do it. This is an important stepping stone for us.

It's huge. We're both among the best teams in the league. I think we're equally talented. We both have great hitters; we both have great pitching and great defense. It's just a matter a who comes out to play. We showed up ready to play.

That was huge. To score runs right off the bat like that is a big factor. It takes a lot of weight off your back. You don't have to worry too much when that happens.

We've got a lot of confidence, but the third time's always the hardest.

The way he's been pitching lately, we almost feel obligated to go out there and get him some runs. Confidence is the key in baseball. When you feel confident, you're going to put up good numbers.

Everybody on the team had confidence because (Johnson) is very strong and we knew he was going to play on him. As long as we played as a team I wasn't really nervous. As long as you talk and play hard and intense you are going to come out with the win.
