Top to bottom, this is a very balanced team. We have great fencers in every event.

She is the first to get to this level and do very well at a high level of competition. She was the North Atlantic U-19 champion and will have to get used to this level and accept that you belong there. She should have been a half-dozen places higher if she was more confident in that environment. She lost bouts to some people that aren't really as good as she is. It is just a matter of experience and confidence.

We have a very compact schedule, so we have to grow fast. But our team attitude and spirit are good, so we're going to be okay.

If everyone can finish in the top 10, we can place really well.

I sincerely believe she won. But given what she's gone through all year long, it's amazing that she was even in that position to begin with.

The scales were tipped a good bit. We schedule these bouts because the teams are very good and challenging.
