Today, an affordable home on the island, for a family, is $300,000, $350,000. It's really sad, but it's true ... many of the local people can't begin to afford the houses.

The community is basically closed down today. People are at home and with friends and family, hugging and kissing and crying?. We lost a lot of good people yesterday, man. A lot of good people.

The record price we see today, I believe, is not the end.

We're anxiously looking forward to returning to City Hall ... it would really be like going back home.
