To see a lot of the smaller labels disappear or get gobbled up by the bigger labels, that's a shame. It was a bit of a shock at first to see the demise of the record stores.

As soon as you start making a record, things start getting lined up: the promotion, possibly even a tour.

Murphy was a bit smaller, but quicker. Jefferson was a bigger and a shiftier runner.

Start the best five guys, whether you can go a little bit bigger or go back to smaller like last year. All it means is that you have less options and one guy who was going to get a little bit of time is getting more time.

The clients I talk to want their legal bills to be smaller, not bigger. Even with the biggest companies around, their general counsels have budgets and they have pressure to lower their outside legal costs.
