To just plug songs in wouldn't really help the storytelling.

That's a tough one. It's like asking which one of your children you love more.

We don't actually have Billy Idol in our show. But we do have what you might call a Billy Idol substitute. And the song isn't sung on an airplane -- though we do have an airplane in the show. The final song is sung in a place that's big, really big.

I majored in theater, but it was pretty obvious right off that I wasn't any good as an actor. I'd been writing shows since I was in high school. So I concentrated on writing for the theater.

A lot of people then were wrapped up in the idea of being rich and powerful, and the 'yuppie' movement arose. But some, like Robbie and Julia, didn't fit into that mold.

I don't think this team gets frustrated. Not that I've noticed.
