This year, we have a lot of new girls and freshmen on the team. This win is a nice stepping stone. The girls are improving every time and we can't be more pleased with their progress.

I think our fielding has improved a lot. They're coming along really well.

They're playing a lot better. It's just fine-tuning their skills and them getting confidence in themselves.

We have a very young, inexperienced team that are on their way to learning.

We've looked up the squads that are competing [in the Girls' Sweet 16] and we think we've got a good shot at placing in the top four again. We've got an outstanding group of young ladies to work with.

Maybe it helps the rest of the team having a returning state qualifier. The rest of the girls see that a good routine and a little bit of luck can move you on to the next level.
