This was to show the board that this is who the people are and we mean business.

There have been a lot of problems on the board - things I didn't agree with and things they weren't adhering to. They've handled this all wrong from the beginning, and I don't want to be a part of it any longer.

We're here because current board members have shown willful neglect and disregard of chamber rules and regulations. They are not acting in the best interest of the membership.

We build speculative buildings in communities that we think are the kinds of places that people want to do business. We've been building in Oakwood for seven or eight years and have a steady stream of people coming in.

I've asked to meet with people from the business communities, the bargaining groups. I'm also going to stop by the barber shops and the local cafes -- ask all the questions everybody should be asking.

When these people came to town, they brought a business to town. There are certain things we have to have in place when the movie people come here.
