This was the best group I've had in eight years. Hopefully the seniors will go on and have a great career, and the juniors and sophomores will get back here again.

I'm just speechless right now. We've been down by a run four or five times this year, and the kids just refused to lose. These kids showed a lot of heart and character, and that's what it's about.

Winning Section II finals was a big accomplishment for us. We knew we should have won last year, but we came up on the short end. We had to live with it for a year. I guess, a year later -- good things come around if you wait.

It's been great. The community is behind us. The school is behind us. Parents are behind us. Everybody is behind us. It's a great feeling.

We're here to win it all. We're not here to just show up. We're going after the whole prize, and that's the state championship.
