This was our Super Bowl and the girls responded very well. And it was good that we made some key free throws down the stretch.

She seemed glad to see me when I appeared in the kitchen, and by watching her I began to think there was some skill involved in being a girl.

I was not so sure, but Jem told me I was being a girl, that girls always imagined things, that’s why other people hated them so, and if I started behaving like one I could just go off and find some to play with.

Even though we lost, the girls didn't quit. I'm proud of that.

Then the crowd got into it. I was worried going in that the girls might be a little nervous with this atmosphere.

It seemed as though the momentum was starting to switch again, and I didn't want our girls to fall behind by anymore.
