This shift requires a new model of leadership, one which is entrepreneurial. A key element in accomplishing this task and assuring a positive outcome, is reevaluating the role of regional campuses. We need to reaffirm our commitment to being ‘stewards of place’ and not only fulfill a responsibility to graduate world-class students

IU Kokomo is on the move and regional transformation will take place. We are bound by a common goal, to sustain here in north-central Indiana the American dream of a better tomorrow. We are on the move while remaining grounded in Hoosier values and dedicated to a global perspective and academic excellence.

The future is in abundance

We are going to begin club teams in the fall. Men's basketball and women’s volleyball... the first two sports as [IUK] moves to NAIA....We [IU Kokomo] will... follow all regulations of the NAIA to make sure that.. we will be able to apply and be in a conference. Our hope is to do one year of club and the following year [2012]to join the conference. (Feb.17, 2011)
